Do I need a building survey?

What is the difference Between the types of surveys
Level 2 homebuyers
Advisors on defects and also provides a valuation if requested suitable for flats and houses in good condition
Level 3 building surveys
A more detailed and comprehensive survey often for properties that have been altered and extended and for properties in a poor condition. This survey does not typically include a valuation.

What is the purpose of a survey?

How long does it take to carry out a survey?

Can I accompany the surveyor?
We ask that clients don’t attend when the survey is being carried out and the survey as the survey needs full concentration however a phone call at the end of the survey can be requested for feedback from the inspection.
What’s the difference between a mortgage lender valuation and a home survey?
The mortgage lender valuation only conducts a brief inspection and Is there to assure the lender that the value of the property is not less than the amount they are lending. The mortgage valuation does not conduct an in depth assessment of the property
